چکیده
The hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis is suppressed by pro-inflammatory mediators in systemic disease, which affects the thyroid hormone level. Canine parvovirus one of important infectious diseases causes profound morbidity as well mortality dogs. It found that canine infection can result non-thyroidal sickness syndrome. relation between pathology and will pave way for therapeutic preventive measures this disease. This study was conducted on 61 dog carcasses brought to Department Veterinary Pathology, College Animal Sciences, Pookode during year period. Among cases, nine were be positive constitutes an incidence 14.75 per cent. متن کاملThyroid Hormone Tutorial: Thyroid Pathology
Thyroid disorder is a general term representing several different diseases involving thyroid hormones and the thyroid gland. Thyroid disorders are commonly separated into two major categories, hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, depending on whether serum thyroid hormone levels (T4 and T3) are increased or decreased, respectively. Thyroid disease generally may be sub-classified based on etiolog...
متن کاملThe central role of chloride in the metabolic acid-base changes in canine parvoviral enteritis.
The acid-base disturbances in canine parvoviral (CPV) enteritis are not well described. In addition, the mechanisms causing these perturbations have not been fully elucidated. The purpose of the present study was to assess acid-base changes in puppies suffering from CPV enteritis, using a modified strong ion model (SIM). The hypothesis of the study was that severe acid-base disturbances would b...
متن کاملPolymerase chain reaction based epidemiological investigation of canine parvoviral disease in dogs at Bareilly region
Aim: The aim of this study was to screen the suspected samples by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and epidemiological analysis of positive cases of canine parvovirus type2. Materials and Methods: Fecal samples were collected from dogs suspected for canine parvovirus type 2 (CPV-2) and viral DNA was extracted. Primers were designed, and PCR was done with all extracted DNA samples. Age, sex and b...
متن کاملA sensitive method to detect canine parvoviral DNA in faecal samples by nested polymerase chain reaction
Canine parvovirus 2 (CPV-2) is the causative agent of acute hemorrhagic enteritis and myocarditis in dogs. A nested polymerase chain reaction (n-PCR) was developed using published pCPV-2ab as external primer set and self designed and custom synthesized pCPV-2N as internal primer set for the detection of canine parvovirus in faecal samples of dogs. Out of 52 faecal samples, 27 and 31 were tested...
